Title: Planning and Environmental Coordinator

This incumbent functions as the Team Lead for the Battle Mountain District Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement providing oversight, guidance and direction for development of the 10.5 million acre District-wide land use plan revision incorporating four counties and multiple interested and affected groups, local, state and federal agencies, and Tribal governments.

This position sits on the District Manager’s staff and works directly for the District Manager/Associate District Manager and represents the agency in a wide variety of external settings. The Team Lead works cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team and the third party contractor to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and a range of alternatives is crafted and considered in development of a long term land use plan revision.

Once completed, the selected individual will work on planning and environmental coordinator duties on a wide variety of programs and activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
This position is covered by the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.
