Description:The Sustainability and Climate Intern will be assigned to work on the Sustainability & Climate Initiative out of the City Manager’s Office and reports to the Sustainability Manager. This position will work with other city agencies to assist with the execution of initiatives designed to advance sustainability and climate initiatives. The role calls for exceptional skills in research, writing, editing, and administrative support.
Project Include:
Research and contribute to communications and publications
Contribute to online website content
Conduct desktop research, literature reviews and synthesize findings
Document and prepare case studies or blogs on emerging trends, best practices, and policies
Contribute written and graphic content to publications, reports, papers, and presentations
Interacting with City of Reno staff and community members for collaboration, data exchange and information sharing
May 2017 through June 2018
Start and end data flexible

Minimum Qualifications: 

An emphasis in any of the following academic areas preferred: environmental science, design, transport or urban/regional planning, urban design, or related field.
Strong writing and editing skills
Ability to work successfully in team-oriented and individual tasks
Excellent time management and organization skills
Self-motivated and driven to accomplish tasks in specific time frames
