While you’re still working hard to get your degree; get your career on track. Our Rio Tinto internship programme is a 12-week programme that will provide you with ‘real’ work experience over your summer break.

Over the course of the programme, you’ll gain great understanding of the work we do, our commitment to safety and the options we offer across our large-scale operations. You’ll build relationships with the Rio Tinto team and community; gather valuable real world experience – while getting paid to do it!

Our 2019 summer internship programme is still open for those seeking a challenging, exciting and rewarding experience. This is a great start to prepare your application for our 2020 Graduate programme intake in the USA.

Our roles are spread across a number of locations including our offices in Chicago and in regional locations throughout Arizona, California, and Utah. Our regional operations’ roles will be residential and relocation may be required for the duration of the internship.

Desired Majors: Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology
